Lander & Rogers' Sports Business Group has hosted a presentation series in Melbourne and Sydney with guest speaker Kate Palmer, the recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Sports Commission.

Attended by CEOs of Australian sporting organisations, the presentations offered an opportunity for our sports clients to engage in informal discussion with Kate, as well as network with industry peers. These events are part of Lander & Rogers' focus on the Sport, Leisure & Tourism sector. The events feature high profile speakers and give our clients an opportunity to engage with key industry stakeholders.

Kate spoke passionately about Australian sport, the opportunities that she sees for its future, and the importance of increasing physical activity in the country, including the role that the Australian Sports Commission can play in supporting sport through investment and innovation. Another important theme was the need to understand each sport's business and adopting an individual approach to assessing the strength and success of each sporting organisation.

Amelia Lynch, head of Lander & Rogers' Sports Business Group, said "Following the appointment of Kate Palmer as Chief Executive Officer, sport organisations in Australia have an exciting opportunity to engage with the Australian Sports Commission to help build stronger, more sustainable sport to benefit Australians".
