Lander & Rogers grows insurance practice with new special counsel
Lander & Rogers' Insurance Law & Litigation group is pleased to have welcomed Noa Zur, Special Counsel, to its Melbourne office on Monday 2 October.
Noa is a significant recruit for Landers and brings with her a wealth of experience in insurance litigation with the largest and most active insurers in this market. Previously she was a key member of Wotton + Kearney's Public and Products Liability team and has practised for over 10 years in workplace and transport accidents, statutory recoveries, and public and products liability claims. Noa is highly regarded by insurers for her ability to drive claims to resolution. Her proactive and strategic approach to claims management means that she gets the results that clients need.
On her appointment, Noa explained, "I'm really pleased to be joining the Lander & Rogers team at such an interesting time in the evolution of the Australian Liability claims market. Landers has an outstanding reputation for providing clients with excellent advice and client service across all lines of business. And they have a culture that is the envy of firms in the Australian market. I'm looking forward to working with the national team alongside the leading insurers in our market.
"Liability claims in Australia are on the rise, especially in the SME and retail space. I am excited to join a team that takes a strategic approach to handling liability claims in close collaboration with their clients. I really like Landers' focus on helping their clients achieve measurable portfolio based results and savings", she added.
Ari Abrahams, Lander & Rogers' Co-Practice Group Leader for Insurance Law & Litigation, said, "Casualty is a core part of a full-coverage insurance team and is a critical part of our offering for clients. Noa's appointment further bolsters our growing Casualty team across Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney, which has included recent senior appointments in our Melbourne team — Jacob Luca and Kai-Yan Lam — and the recent promotion of Sybilla Waring-Lambert in Sydney to Partner. This brings our National Liability team to 23 in size and underpins the firm's strategy to be the leading all of service insurance team in Australia".
Mr Abrahams added, "We know that our clients want specialist insurance lawyers but they want them from firms that have the capacity to deliver on work volumes and quality. We are proud to have a team of some of the most talented and service-focused lawyers in Australia.
"The future of the insurance litigation market is under constant pressure and change, and with Noa's appointment, we're really excited about helping our clients nationally adapt to that change".
Noa is an active member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, Member of Women in Insurance, and a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
