Julian is a real estate lawyer who advises on all forms of commercial and government real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, commercial development, joint ventures and leasing. He has been involved in the sale and acquisition of substantial commercial, industrial and retail buildings and the development and leasing of major commercial and retail interests for both landowners and corporate tenants.
Julian has assisted both state and federal governments in their real estate portfolio management. He also has experience with sophisticated and unusual real estate transactions, including air-bridge leasing and sales, wind farms and sport and entertainment venue developments.
Julian has acted for a number of major Australian real estate owners (including AMP and Investa Property Group), Federal and State government departments and agencies (including Defence and Transport for NSW), commercial real estate developers and owners (including Anglican Retirement Villages, AMP, Merivale and Next Generation Clubs Australia) and corporate real estate occupiers (including Chandler McLeod, WPP Plc and Ernst & Young). Julian is mentioned in the Legal 500 2016 edition in the Real Estate category.
Julian's areas of expertise include:
- vendor and purchaser property due diligence, including sales and purchases;
- commercial real estate developments and joint ventures;
- office, industrial and retail leasing;
- tender and special project documents; and
- government, both federal and state.
Julian was admitted to practice in 1993 and joined Lander & Rogers in 2013.
