Mark, together with Craig Henderson, is co-head of Lander & Rogers' Family & Relationship Law group. He is a member of Lander & Rogers' board and is National Practice Group Leader for the Family & Relationship Law group.
Mark practices exclusively in family and domestic relationship law and has extensive experience in complicated litigation involving children's cases, spousal maintenance, child support.
Mark's practice focuses exclusively on property disputes (from a family and relationship law perspective), both domestic and internationally. He has specific expertise in disputes involving farming cases, professional practices and third party involvement, where complicated commercial issues, valuations and restructuring are involved.
Increasingly, Mark deals with disputes in overseas jurisdictions involving Australian family law issues. The overseas jurisdictions include Singapore, Hong Kong and European countries. He also has extensive experience in cases involving applications under the Child Support Assessment Act and domestic relationship property law claims under the Property Law Amendment Act.
Mark regularly provides seminars and prepares papers for professional and other counselling organisations and receives regular and significant referral work from accountants, solicitors, barristers, psychologists and welfare organisations.
Mark was named Lawyers Weekly Family Law Partner of the Year 2016. He is recognised in the 2012-2016 editions of Best Lawyers in Australia for his expertise in Family law, and is ranked Preeminent in Doyles Guide's Leading Family & Divorce Lawyers in Australia 2017.
Mark's areas of expertise include:
- all children’s issues including residence and contact;
- spousal maintenance;
- child support;
- property settlements and commercial advice;
- injunctions and restraining orders;
- cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements;
- taxation implications of separations and settlements; and
- restructuring of business affairs.
Mark was admitted to practice in 1984 and joined Lander & Rogers in 1991.
Completed training in Collaborative Law and Mediation.
Accredited Specialist in Family Law.

- Member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL).
