Lander & Rogers has been named an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Federal Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency – one of only 119 organisations to receive the citation across Australia.
The firm was recognised for a range of initiatives designed to promote gender equality through pay equity, flexible work practices and tools, gender neutral parental leave opportunities and the promotion of women to positions of leadership.
Lander & Rogers' Chief Executive Partner, Genevieve Collins said that receiving the citation validated the important programs and initiatives the firm has implemented, but that there is still more to be done.
"We want to create a culture where senior leaders don’t look at gender equality as a women's issue, but a business issue and a fairness issue — essential for economies and communities to thrive, and enabling everyone, regardless of their gender to share equally in the opportunities the world has to offer.
"Having a diverse and inclusive environment is essential for our collective success and I’m absolutely focused on creating a culture at Lander & Rogers that provides an exceptional experience for all our people."
Lander & Rogers' Chief People Officer Catherine Whitehead said she was proud to work at a firm with such a strong commitment to gender equality.
"This recognition is important validation for our Diversity & Inclusion strategy which we implemented last year. We are confident that we have the right policies in place to support our people and promote gender equality across the firm."
WGEA Director Libby Lyons said that the organisations that received a citation were united by their determination and commitment to achieving workplace gender equality.
"All these organisations are at the forefront of the momentum for change towards gender equality in Australian workplaces. These industry leaders are showing other Australian businesses how to create a better and more equal future for both women and men.”
