Geraldine Carney

Special Counsel

Geraldine has experience in statutory benefit claims, serious injury applications and common law matters. She has advised WorkSafe and a wide range of self-insured clients on claims management and resolution.

Experience

Prior to joining Lander & Rogers in 2020, Geraldine gained workers compensation experience in a number of settings, including two national firms on the WorkSafe panel and a national firm exclusively managing self-insurer claims. Geraldine has experience running matters in the Magistrates', County and Supreme Courts. She has also advised extensively on claims management strategies and global resolutions for self-insured clients.

Between 2016 and 2020, Geraldine worked as a community lawyer while completing her PhD. During this time, she developed her skills as a solicitor advocate, predominantly in criminal law matters. Geraldine has also worked as a legal translator for commercial law firm in Tokyo, Japan.
