The Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) has released a Discussion Paper concerning possible reforms to the family law system, pursuant to a direction by the Commonwealth Government to undertake a comprehensive review of this aspect of the law.

Lander & Rogers' Family & Relationship Law group has previously made detailed written submissions, which were quoted and referenced by the ALRC in the Discussion Paper. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to make further submissions in relation to specific issues highlighted in the Discussion Paper.

The firm will continue to participate in the ongoing discussion concerning which reforms might be made to the complex legal system, which will impact a wide range of people in our community.

Under the Terms of Reference, the ALRC is requested to report to the Attorney-General by 31 March 2019.
