Lander & Rogers' Chief Executive Partner, Genevieve Collins has been recognised as Law Firm Leader of the Year (encompassing firms with >200 employees) in the 2021 Australasian Law Awards, the flagship award program of leading independent legal publisher Australasian Lawyer.
Judges praised Genevieve as "an exceptional leader" whose successes in the last 12 months included:
- taking the firm "from strength to strength during challenging times, innovating and supporting all the way"
- "driving changes that will help evolve the legal profession" by implementing industry-leading policies for safer, more inclusive workplaces; setting ambitious sustainability targets and leading initiatives to transform legal service delivery through technology
- "impressive achievements in diversity and innovation" that have established Lander & Rogers' strong reputation as an inclusive and forward-thinking firm
- "establishing a vision and achieving it" through her strategy to deliver the best Australian law firm experience for Lander & Rogers' clients, people and community, while minimising the firm's environmental footprint.
Genevieve shares the award with Andrew Pike of Herbert Smith Freehills, who was named a co-winner in the same category.
Lander & Rogers also received Excellence Awards for being shortlisted in the Corporate Citizen Firm of the Year category, for our pro bono work and community outreach; and the Excellence in Technology & Innovation category, for the transformative work of our client-facing innovation team, iHub and startup-focused LawTech Hub.
