Elizabeth Morris

Elizabeth is a Senior Associate in Lander & Rogers' Compensation Law group. She specialises in personal injuries litigation.

Elizabeth provides comprehensive and strategic advice to the Victorian WorkCover Authority, claims agents and employers in relation to statutory benefits, serious injury and common law damages matters.

Prior to joining Lander & Rogers, Elizabeth gained workers' compensation experience at a plaintiff firm and a Victorian WorkCover Authority panel firm. She has also held senior roles at the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office and the Coroners Court of Victoria, where she advised government clients on personal injury claims, inquests, regulatory reviews and major public inquiries, and assisted coroners in complex inquests.

Elizabeth's unique and varied experience gives her valuable insight into litigation strategy from all perspectives. She adopts a proactive approach to claims management, identifying and addressing key risks at an early stage to facilitate the efficient resolution of claims and disputes.

• advising the Victorian WorkCover Authority on serious injury applications and litigated common law claims
• acting for the plaintiff in a contested application for a serious injury certificate for pecuniary loss (Vulcan Steel Pty Ltd v Clinton John Fullerton [2014] VSCA 18)
• assisting the coroner in complex and high-profile inquests, including the 2017 Bourke Street Inquest
• advising public sector clients in relation to high-profile inquests, royal commissions and inquiries.
