Elyse is a Senior Associate in the Lander & Rogers' Insurance Law & Litigation group. She specialises in professional indemnity (with a particular focus across construction, engineering and financial lines), and directors' and officers' liability advising on both indemnity and defence.

Elyse has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial disputes. Having commenced her professional career seeking a broad range of exposure across insurance lines, she has experience in construction, financial lines, directors & officers, first party property claims and large securities and shareholder class actions. She also has experience acting for a party summoned to give evidence in a public inquiry.
Elyse advises local and international Insurers on complex indemnity and liability matters, primarily within the construction and engineering and financial lines spaces. She has experience advising a variety of professionals including architects, certifiers, builders, financial advisors and accountants.
Elyse spent a time working in London where, focusing on construction professional liability and disputes, she gained experience on a number of UK construction adjudications.

Elyse's career highlights include:
- Advised a large D&C Contractor and its Insurers in relation to slab defects in a residential / commercial project and subsequent subrogated recovery for rectification and other costs.
- Acted for an Architect and its Insurer in a multi-million dollar dispute concerning waterproofing and aluminium composite cladding.
- Acting in defence of construction defects disputes involving matters concerning waterproofing, façade and other matters.
- Advising Insurers and Insureds in a dispute with local residents raising complaints including nuisance concerning the operation of a large on-shore wind farm.
- Advising excess insurers in connection with multiple class actions arising from the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and financial Services Industry.
