Melody is an experienced insurance litigator, having worked in commercial litigation, public liability, and subrogated recovery matters. Melody has demonstrated ability to achieve client goals in a commercial manner, whilst ensuring pragmatic resolution for injured persons.

Experience

Melody has acted for Australian and overseas insurers for several years, advising on policy coverage, contractual indemnities, liability and quantum in personal injuries and property damage claims. Previously, Melody acted for State Government institutions in personal injury claims, with her experience extending to highly sensitive historical abuse matters.

  • successfully arguing contractual indemnity claims on behalf of a large-scale construction client, resulting in full indemnification and compensation of legal costs spent to date.
