Tanya Harris

Head of Sustainability

A national pioneer in sustainable procurement, Tanya brings deep technical expertise as a co-founding Australian technical team member, national stakeholder engagement co-lead, and committee representative and contributor to the international standard ISO 20400:2017 / AS ISO 20400:2018 Sustainable Procurement – Guidance.

With a career spanning internal and external advisory roles across sectors including telecommunications, infrastructure, property, retail, grocery, education, food and dairy production, logistics and healthcare, Tanya applies a practical practitioner lens to translating sustainability ambition into measurable action through corporate finance, procurement, governance and risk management.

Experience

With over 20 years of experience across governance, risk, sustainability and ESG, procurement and supply chain management, Tanya has worked across public, private and international development sectors throughout Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Latin America, Africa and Asia.

Before joining Lander & Rogers, Tanya was head of business and principal consultant for Australia’s largest independent sustainability and impact consultancy. She advised boards, executives, project teams and suppliers - across industries and geographies - on integrating sustainability into core business operations to deliver tangible and lasting positive impact.

Tanya's areas of expertise include:

  • targeted capability building across sustainability topics for stakeholders from board and executive level to on-the-ground project managers and buyers
  • ESG due diligence, performance management frameworks and implementation tactics
  • integration of sustainability within governance, risk and procurement strategies
  • development of spend-category and sustainability-topic-specific strategies and action plans
  • advisory on decarbonisation, nature and biodiversity, and human rights risk mitigation and implementation.
