Finalists in the Australasian Law Awards 2019

White Background, Purple Underscore Ampersand

We are delighted to announce that the firm has been named a finalist in two categories in this year's Australasian Law Awards:

  • Corporate Citizen Firm of the Year; and
  • Excellence in Employee Health & Wellbeing.

The Corporate Citizen Firm of the Year award looks at the firm’s sustainability, community, diversity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility initiatives during 2018. Our submission included our South Sudanese Business Response initiative and the Women's Legal Service Victoria #SmallClaimsLargeBattles project, as well as our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion.

The Excellence in Employee Health & Wellbeing award is judged on the quantity, quality, impact, and innovativeness of a firm's employee health and wellbeing initiatives during the last year. Our people’s wellbeing is a crucial priority for the firm. With alarming figures for mental health across Australia, we've worked with The Resilience Project to develop a program that would support our people. The impact this program has had within our firm has been outstanding. The Resilience Project founder, Hugh van Cuylenburg, has now presented five sessions with our firm and our wider community, sharing the powerful resilience principles with family, friends, clients, and community partners of Lander & Rogers. We felt that it was important to share the lessons with all those around us as we know that this will have the strongest impact for everyone.

The Awards bring together 600 industry leaders to celebrate excellence in the legal profession, recognising leading firms, in-house legal teams, and others in the profession for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

The winners in over 34 categories will be announced at an awards ceremony in Sydney on Thursday 23rd May 2019.
