Lander & Rogers is pleased to announce that it has advised Local Measure, a Sydney-based contact centre and voice solutions company, on its acquisition by a subsidiary of Zendesk, Inc. via a scheme of arrangement.
Founded in 2014 by Jonathan Barouch with Chairman Kim Jacobs, Local Measure has grown to become a leading provider of CCaaS (Contact Centre as a Service) and advanced voice technology solutions, enabling businesses to deliver exceptional customer experiences through AI-powered cloud contact centres. Its close partnership with Amazon Web Services and deep integration with Amazon Connect positioned the company for global expansion and ultimately attracted the attention of Zendesk, a leader in AI-powered customer service.
The transaction marks a significant milestone for Local Measure, delivering value to Local Measure's shareholders. Notably, Local Measure's shareholders unanimously voted in favour of the acquisition at the scheme meeting, highlighting the value that the transaction provided to shareholders and confidence in Local Measure’s future as part of Zendesk.
Lander & Rogers advised Local Measure on all legal aspects of the transaction, with Corporate partners David Morris and David Tink, together with senior associate Breanna Taylor, leading the team. They were supported by Jonathon Turner, Natale Ilardo, Adam Jeffrey, Jaco Moulder, and Gai Chuatwea, with Annabelle Gray also contributing in the early stages of the deal.
