Lander & Rogers is delighted to announce that it has been recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) for 2026-2028 by the Federal Government's Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
WGEA’s citation encourages, recognises and celebrates organisations that are taking meaningful action to create fairer workplaces across Australia. This is the sixth consecutive year Lander & Rogers has held the citation, which recognises the firm's progress in the key areas of leadership, flexibility, talent and pay equity.
Chief Executive Partner, Daniel Proietto said "The renewal of the WGEA citation reflects the firm's dedication to fostering a gender-equal workplace. At Lander & Rogers, we are committed to the ongoing work of supporting the progression of women and to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for all our people.
"Part of our commitment involves working to eliminate the gender pay gap and we are pleased to report that our median* and average** gaps have both reduced since last year and remain lower than the broader legal industry***. We are also proud to have a 50% female partnership ‒ the first of Australia's major law firms to achieve gender parity ‒ and a gender-balanced board and executive team.
"Deliberate choices about how we work and treat one another are important to us, and we will continue to work hard to ensure we create a gender-equal workplace that is inclusive, supportive and fair for all."
Chief People Officer, Mica Duncalfe congratulated the other organisations recognised as Employers of Choice on their collective achievements in addressing barriers to gender equality.
"Achieving and sustaining meaningful change requires an intentional, integrated approach. Guided by our four strategic pillars of inclusive leadership, flexibility, talent, and pay equity, we will continue to build the conditions that support equal opportunity, an inclusive culture and meaningful career progression for all.
"While we still have more to do, the Employer of Choice citation is wonderful recognition of our values and our continued progress in gender equity," Ms Duncalfe said.
WGEA CEO Mary Wooldridge congratulated Lander & Rogers for their ongoing work to achieve gender equality in the workplace.
“Holding the Workplace Gender Equality Citation provides national recognition that Lander & Rogers is deeply committed to positive action to achieve gender equality in their workplace,” Ms Wooldridge said.
“Committing to clear targets and using insights from employee surveys, these employers turn data into action, strengthening safety, fairness and opportunity for everyone in their organisation.”
