The list recognises the best up-and-coming legal professionals in Australia for their outstanding contribution to the industry in the early stages of their careers.
Dean, a lawyer in our Real Estate & Projects team, assists clients with legal requirements during all aspects of construction (front-end, back-end and project management) - representing and providing advice to clients who operate in a variety of roles in the building and construction industry. Dean has acted for parties involved in the supply, installation, and commissioning of an automated warehouse solution for one of Australia's leading supermarkets; the construction of Victoria's first vertical school; the redevelopment of a gas-powered plant; the engineering, procurement, and construction of renewable energy projects. Dean is also actively involved in the firm's innovation agenda - and was awarded the L&R Innovation Award in 2018 for leading the implementation of an artificial intelligence due diligence platform.
Simon is an experienced sports lawyer and a core member of our Sport & Leisure team, practicing in the sport and not-for-profit sectors. Simon joined Lander & Rogers in 2013 and was promoted from Lawyer to Senior Associate in July 2018. Simon acts for a range of sports clients, including professional leagues and clubs, national and state sports organisations, venues, event operators and government sport departments. Simon leads many of the team's business development initiatives, while supporting the group's leadership and remaining active in the career development and progression of junior team members.
