Lander & Rogers has welcomed infrastructure and construction lawyer and former general counsel Jennifer Tyler as a partner in its Real Estate & Projects practice in Sydney.
Jennifer brings more than 25 years of experience across in-house legal functions and private practice, most recently establishing and leading the in-house legal team of one of Australia's leading privately owned construction companies.
Specialising in the procurement and delivery of major projects, Jennifer has advised on some of the most significant social and economic infrastructure, large-scale housing, industrial and commercial projects delivered across New South Wales in recent years ─ including various Sydney Metro packages, the Powerhouse Museum upgrade, and the transformation of heritage-listed City Tattersalls Club into Sydney House.
Tim McDonald, co-lead of Lander & Rogers' Real Estate & Projects (REP) practice, said of Jennifer's appointment: "Jen is an outstanding addition to our REP construction and infrastructure team. Having worked both in-house and in private practice, she has a deep understanding of the technical, commercial and risk issues involved in procuring and delivering major projects. She's a pragmatic operator, a skilled negotiator, and consistently delivers exceptional results for her clients."
Jennifer noted that it was an exciting time to be joining Lander & Rogers and its leading construction and infrastructure practice. "The team is uniquely positioned in the market, with a fully integrated offering spanning property, construction, infrastructure, planning and environment. It's rare to find a practice that's able to provide genuinely whole-of-life advice across every aspect of major project conversion and delivery. Clients are trusting Tim and his team with some of the most exciting projects currently in development, and I very much look forward to being a part of it."
Jennifer's appointment follows a period of rapid expansion for Lander & Rogers' REP construction and infrastructure practice. Growing from three to nearly 20 lawyers in the space of five years, the group has partnered with clients to deliver major projects in sectors including renewable energy, transport, logistics, industrial, sporting, commercial and retail, and social housing ─ while earning a reputation for providing astute, adaptive and innovative legal solutions.
