Lander & Rogers' Chief Executive Partner, Genevieve Collins, has won the "Intrapreneur" category in the prestigious Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Asia Pacific 2024 awards.

Ms Collins was recognised for "making change happen through strong leadership in several areas, including workplace culture, wellbeing, the environment and tech innovation". Judges noted in particular Lander & Rogers' collective efforts to advance the adoption of AI and tech in legal practice, achieve gender parity in its partnership, and set new standards for sustainable business practices through the firm's net zero by 2030 commitment.

Lander & Rogers was ranked the #6 most innovative Asia-Pacific law firm out of the 35 shortlisted firms.

The firm was also a finalist in the following categories:

  • Innovation in people and skills (Highly commended) in recognition of the AI clinical placement program run in partnership with Monash University, in which final-year Monash law students work alongside Lander & Rogers' legal and tech experts to engage in hands-on testing of use cases against AI models, new applications and platforms
  • Innovation in digital tools (Commended) in recognition of DocuAnalyser AI, an AI-driven document-splitting platform developed by iHub by Lander & Rogers and the firm's compensation law practice in collaboration with startup Halisok, to reduce manual processing of large and complex data sets in relation to compensation law claims
  • Innovation in responsible business (Commended) for our ongoing efforts to minimise our environmental footprint and advance our net-zero goal, as well as for supporting organisations fighting for a safe climate, and protecting the rights of communities through strategic litigation.

Firms and in-house legal teams across the Asia-Pacific region are shortlisted for the FT Innovative Lawyers awards following a rigorous submission, research and interview process spanning a number of months.

Winners were announced at a ceremony in Hong Kong on Thursday, 16 May 2024.
