Jeanette is a passionate lawyer, driven by a commitment to guiding family law clients through difficult times.

Combining her financial expertise with a compassionate approach, Jeanette strives to achieve positive outcomes by providing empathetic guidance, comprehensive legal advice and resolution-oriented strategies.

Jeanette has been practising exclusively in family law since March 2020. She was recognised as a finalist in the 2022 Australian Law Awards for Rising Star of the Year (Private Practice).

Jeanette holds a combined Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Technology Sydney.

Experience

Jeanette represents clients based in Australia and overseas. She has extensive experience in:

  • property matters, including matters dealing with commercial and residential properties, corporate and trust entities and self-managed superannuation funds
  • parenting matters involving serious risk issues, child abductions, relocations and allegations of family violence
  • the preparation and review of financial agreements and child support agreements, including pre-nuptial style agreements
  • international family law matters, including those involving overseas assets, international abduction and relocation, and proceedings in multiple jurisdictions.

Career highlights

Jeanette's career highlights include:

  • representing a client in relation to complex parenting and property issues, including several overseas assets. This included successfully obtaining orders for her client and child to permanently relocate overseas
  • being wholly successful in opposing the other parent's application for the child to relocate overseas. This matter involved serious risk issues arising from the other parent's attempts to abduct the child from Australia
  • acting for a third-party company that was an entity in its own right, trustee of the family trust and trustee of the self-managed superannuation fund, in family law proceedings for property settlement.
