• Firm appoints new partner Tom White to establish an Environment & Planning team providing specialist advice as part of its market-leading Real Estate & Projects and Infrastructure teams.
Based in Sydney, Tom joins from Norton Rose Fulbright Australia where he was a special counsel in the Environment & Planning team. Tom brings more than a decade of experience advising clients on all aspects of environment and planning law, with significant experience advising all levels (Commonwealth, State and Local) of government as well as private landowners, developers and institutional investors on complex development projects and infrastructure. His appointment will strengthen the firm's offering with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure projects and property development.
Tom's recent experience includes advising on numerous land acquisition, planning, environmental, heritage and contamination matters for Transport for NSW, including the Northern Road Upgrade, the Northern Beaches B-Line, the Gateway Project, the WestConnex Project and the Northern Beaches link. He also acted for Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation on the development of special activation precincts and Energy Corporation on the establishment of renewable energy zones in regional NSW.
