Elif is an experienced defendant insurance lawyer specialising in personal injury litigation with a focus on public, recovery and product liability claims (dust and toxic torts). She has experience defending both public and private sector clients on a broad range of legal issues.
Experience
Prior to joining Lander & Rogers, Elif was a Senior Associate in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria. She then joined a national law firm handling complex and expedited product liability claims (toxic torts and dust diseases) as well as public liability and professional indemnity matters. Her practice predominantly consisted of claims in the County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria and multi-jurisdictional proceedings.
Elif advises and acts on behalf of insurers and insureds in respect of both pre-litigated and litigated matters. She provides advice on all aspects of liability, litigation and strategy. Elif is particularly experienced in appearing at settlement conferences, mediations and court for her clients. Her key strength is pragmatism and negotiation and focus on resolution of claims cost effectively.
