Ruby is a lawyer in the Sydney office of Lander & Rogers' Family & Relationship Law group. She has worked exclusively in the family law jurisdiction since her admission in 2021.
Ruby recognises that when people seek family law advice, they are often going through a challenging and emotional period in their lives. She is a compassionate and understanding practitioner and works closely with her clients to ensure they feel both supported and empowered through the family law process. Ruby tailors her advice to the needs of each client, providing pragmatic solutions that are both commercial and accommodating of her clients' priorities, with an aim to resolve matters as expeditiously as possible.
Ruby is of Chinese background and speaks Cantonese, enabling her to bring a cultural understanding and sensitivity to her clients' matters. She has represented clients whose family law matters have involved international elements, including matters that cross overseas jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Lander & Rogers, Ruby worked as an Associate to a Judge of Division 1 of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia for two years. Having spent significant time in the courtroom, Ruby has seen the emotional burden of litigation and attempts to guide clients to resolve matters by way of negotiation wherever possible. Should litigation be required, Ruby applies her knowledge of the nuances of court practice and procedure to assist clients when navigating the court system.
